Regulatory Permit Required

No person or entity shall operate a dispensary without first receiving a Regulatory Permit from the City of Porterville. The Regulatory Permit shall be site specific and specifically identify the commercial cannabis activity that will be permitted at the location.

The Regulatory Permit application shall include a diagram and floor plan of the entire premises. The diagram and floor plan need not be professionally prepared, but must clearly show all areas proposed for cultivation, processing, manufacturing, testing, transportation, deliveries and storage. The Regulatory Permit application shall also include a description of the security measures that will be implemented to protect the public health, safety and welfare of those visiting the commercial cannabis operation.

Insurance Requirement

The operator of the dispensary shall carry comprehensive general liability insurance at coverage limits sufficient to cover any damage or injury caused by the dispensary, its employees and volunteers, or its products. The operator of the dispensary shall provide proof of such insurance upon request.
